Ella N. Hoyos, a former journalist, is an Attorney-at-Law in private practice. She started her professional career in the Barbados international business sector where she advised many international businesses, exempt insurance companies, offshore banks and trusts. She then served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the CIBC First Caribbean International Bank Group. More recently she was a member of the Bank's Senior Executive Team, serving as the Managing Director of Human Resources. She then returned to private practice as Principal of the Rockley Law Group, a boutique commercial law firm. She is also a qualified Mediator and arbitrator. A Jamaican by birth, she has lived in Barbados for over 25 years.
Ella is a Hampton School and UWI alumna and serves as a Lay Reader and Chalice Assistant at the St. Lawrence Anglican Church. Apart from her professional, community and charitable pursuits, other passions include jazz, the theatre, fine arts, antiques, reading and traveling.
